GETTING IN TOUCH WITH NATURE -- Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves
of strength that will endure as long as life lasts." ~ Rachel Carson
Wikipedia describes a psychological phenomenon called pareidolia, in which the mind responds to a stimulus, usually an image or a sound, by perceiving a familiar pattern where none exists. Reddit discussions can be found about pictures of things that are recognizable as other objects. For example, a picture of a cloud that happens to look like a whale sword fighting a leprechaun. I think when I see "faces" or "creatures' faces" in rocks or wood along the beach it's simply the part of my brain that naturally likes to make sense of an abstract image. Who hasn't looked up at the clouds and seen a horse, a dog, a dragon or a cow? It's natural. If you want to attach a spiritual significance to the images you see, that would be a whole other blog. I have fun spotting creature's along the beach who live as rocks and driftwood. Do you just a rock below or something more?
The company I use for this website is Weebly and for some unknown reason random photos of mine appear throughout my postings unrelated to what I uploaded. If a fox appears on a blog about a moose or some other animal or photo unrelated to the blog, you'll know why! It's unfixable.
