GETTING IN TOUCH WITH NATURE -- Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves
of strength that will endure as long as life lasts." ~ Rachel Carson
Caring for my dear, sweet mother of 93 has me gratefully living in the "now" while the best of nature's beauty from pastures, to meadows and mountains, and the ever changing energy of the sea all help to feed my soul.
I barely had time to grab my camera when four
herons flew overhead. Two them landed in trees.
I watched this seagull dunk under water over and over with this stick.
I'm guessing the gull was "fishing" with the stick. I've also seen a crow
use a stick to fish in the sand holes.
All in Sequim, Washington.
Hop, Skip & a Jump
This heron was fishing right out in front of our little cottage.
The company I use for this website is Weebly and for some unknown reason random photos of mine appear throughout my postings unrelated to what I uploaded. If a fox appears on a blog about a moose or some other animal or photo unrelated to the blog, you'll know why! It's unfixable.
