GETTING IN TOUCH WITH NATURE -- Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves
of strength that will endure as long as life lasts." ~ Rachel Carson
The morning started like this ....
Toward evening it ended like this.
In between morning and evening I saw this bald eagle.
And spotted this turkey vulture.
And captured this image of a chipmunk in my yard.
My new rock fire pit doubles as a playground for my furry little buddies.
I have one ground squirrel (born this summer) and at least six chipmunks in my yard who live here year round. The ground squirrel never chases the chipmunks away.
It was late in the day, on a dirt road to go visit friends I haven't seen since last fall, when I spotted a young pine squirrel. It was my best photo shoot so far with this particular kind of tree squirrel. They are usually behind branches and jumping from tree to tree and squealing the whole time. What a treat. They are such characters.
The company I use for this website is Weebly and for some unknown reason random photos of mine appear throughout my postings unrelated to what I uploaded. If a fox appears on a blog about a moose or some other animal or photo unrelated to the blog, you'll know why! It's unfixable.
