Wasps are the ones with brownish-caramel colored eyes. They're more gentle and easy going than the yellow jackets. I find that I can get closer to them with my camera before they fly off. Yellow jackets are a bit more hyper and quicker to fly away. I can follow a wasp with my camera and snap one picture after another. Yellow jackets do not let me do that. I love the coloring of wasps.
